How do i make windows media palyer my default media player? i cant figure out how to get it off quicktime and quicktime is slower then windows media player so i want to change them but i dont no how! please help, no computer user should have to suffer from load times. btw answers that are off topic WILL get thumbs downed. tyMedia player question?
ok in my opinion quicktime is better. BTW
on Media Player go to TOOLS-%26gt;OPTIONS then select the FILE TYPES and check all the files.(this will play all those files in media player.
after u do this go to quicktime and go to EDIT-%26gt;PREFERENCES-%26gt;QUICKTIME PREFERENCES and then go to FILE TYPES and uncheck all those files

click on the file that you want to open by default in wmp. Then right click on it. Select properties from the menu. There is the default player option, opens with, and the program that is default. In front there is a button called change. Click on it and select wmp from the list.
You will have to do this only once for each type of media file.
