However, you can manually change the file association. Just go out to windows explorer and find an mp3. hold down shift and right click the mp3 file. choose open with from the drop down box that appears. It should give you a list of programs, choose select program. find windows media player (or your preferred mp3 player) and highlight it. try this. right click on an mp3 file, click on properties. here you can see the default program that will open the file, click on the change button. now you can chose what program to open the file with, chose media player or whatever you want to, right under the list is a box saying' always use this program on this file' make sure it is checked. click on apply and ok and you should be ok. otherwise, uninstall nero, reinstall it, and right before the end of installation, you can chose what files nero chould play. uncheck all files and you will be good to go.How can I stop Nero Showtime Media Player from being my default player for mp3 files?
