How can I go back to having Windows Media player as my default? I hate Quicktime.?

My son downloaded some iPod program that included Quicktime. I've heard all sorts of problems when you try to uninstall the program. Can I change settings so that Quicktime will not ever play? If it is better to remove the entire progran will my sons ability to use his iPod be affected?

Thanks...RobHow can I go back to having Windows Media player as my default? I hate Quicktime.?
