Is there a way to change the default from Windows Media Player to my Realplayer?How do I disable Windows Media Player in Vista so I can use Realplayer?
if u want to play an mp3 file on real player not wmp...just right click on the file---%26gt; Open With---%26gt;Choose Program....----%26gt; now click on real player(dont click on ok!)----%26gt;tick the box that says%26quot;Always use the selected program to open this kind of file%26quot;----%26gt;Click Ok =D now whenever u open a mp3 file it will open with Real Player =)How do I disable Windows Media Player in Vista so I can use Realplayer?
1. Go to Start then Default programs.



2. Click set your default programs



3. Click Windows Media Player then Choose defaults for this program



4. Uncheck every box. Then save



5. Click RealPlayer. Then click Set this program as default. Then Save.

U should update the software from the web of both the media and the reak .

i have both and u can use both at the same time go to control panel then add and remove programs then remove programs click on windows media player then remove and follow instructions from there.
