I downloaded a .zip file and i accidentally changed the default program to open it with. It also changed the default program for other .zip files i had on my computer. I had accidentally changed the default program to windows media player, so whenever tried to run the .zip files it ran the windows media program instead, i'm using windows home premium if that helps ?How do i change its default program back to normal ?
Open up windows explorer, either by
a) WinKey + E
b) start menu -%26gt; progs (etc).
In windows explorer, go to %26quot;Tools -%26gt; Folder options%26quot;.
Click on %26quot;File types%26quot;.
Locate the extension of the file type you wish to change the association for (you can click in the list and hit Z on your keyboard).

Another way (sometimes easier), is to right click on a ZIP file while holding SHIFT.
You should see an %26quot;Open with...%26quot; option. You can change from the existing program, to a new one (like winzip, etc).
