Open Windows Media Player and go to Options. There should be a file associations tab, make sure all file types you want played in WMP are set for WMP. I think there's also an easy button you can click to force all file types to play in WMP if it can play them.How do you change your default media player???

Go into Windows Media Player and click on the button that says %26quot;Make this my default Player.%26quot;
To to this, open the Media Player. Hit TOOLS, OPTIONS, FILE TYPES. Click on all the media and or video files if you want Windows Media to be your only program for all these.
Then, go to add/remove under the Control Panel and remove any software such as Real Audio, QuickTime Player, etc., that you don't want to use. This should do the trick. There's no need to have anything but one player.
