How do i change my computer to have quicktime player as my default media player?

I agree with SgtNeems.

A) (First choice + Short term results)

1) Locate the media file you want to play.

2) Right click the media file and select %26quot;Open %26quot;With...%26quot;

3) If you can see your player then select it.

- If not then use %26quot;Browse%26quot; (mid right of the screen)

4) Before you click %26quot;Ok%26quot; check to see if the box is ticked. The box will say

%26quot;Always use the selected program to open this kind of file.%26quot;

Ticking this will tell Windows to use Quicktime whenever it encounters that file extension (.avi for example)

B) Alternatively (More Permanent + General)

Do the following...

1) Click Start %26gt; Control Panel %26gt; Programs (If using XP) %26gt; Default Programs %26gt; Set your default programs

Quicktime should appear in your programs list, follow the instructions on screen to set it completely %26quot;Set this program as default%26quot; or partially %26quot;Choose defaults for this program%26quot; as your default player.How do i change my computer to have quicktime player as my default media player?
