Go to your media files..for example an mp3. Right click on the file and you'ee see the menu. Click the OPEN WITH then choose the player that you want. Press shift and right click on the media file you wanna play
Now select open with option and select the media program u wanna use by browsing to it
Now check the options of always use this program and it will become the default program

Also, another way that will work is open the program you wish to use, and under 'options' or 'user preferences' you should be able to select which file extensions are default to that player.Windows media is my default player how can I change that I want to make another media player my default player
Right click the song icon/title ,select %26quot;open with%26quot; option,then chose the program option , then select which ever player u want to.... then below the dialog box select the option of %26quot;always.....%26quot;. then press enter.
