i'm guessing you have a windows vista operating system??
there are two things you could do..
1st you can right click a media (song,movie,whatever..)
then then click properties...
on the (Plays with) option click %26quot;CHANGE%26quot;
then choose the player you want to play the media by default
if you cant see it on the list click browse and search on you're program files folder
Or
You could go to the properties/preferences panel of you're desired player (ex.Songbird, Quicktime)
and then find the option of %26quot;File Association or File Types%26quot; cause that's basically you're problem..
how to associate media to certain players...
Then just check or uncheck the check boxes depending on what media do you want the certain player to play by default...
And that's basically it...hehehe...
