Our default music player used to be windows media player, however, my younger sister got an mp3 player and put her software on the computer, so now every time I click on a song or download anything, it goes to SonicStage! (her music program/media player.) I recently downloaded some songs off the net from a website and now I can't get them to burn onto my mp3 player because they are downloaded as sonicstage files! Is there any way I can change the default music player back to Windows Media player? (That way its compatible with EVERYONES music devices, not just hers)I am going to SHANK my sister!! ok both of these guys are wrong!
1. Open up windows media player
2. idk what version u have but if u have 11 right click somewhere at the top and it should show a list that has File,View,Etc.
3.If you have an older version you will see file, view,etc. at the top already
4. Click Tools%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;Options
5. Click File Types
6. Click %26quot;Select All%26quot;
7. Click apply
8.Click ok and your done!

The hard way... open up my documents, go to Tools %26gt; Folder Options %26gt; File Types Tab. Then, locate mp3, wav, wmv, asx, aff, aif, etc and set the open with program to wmp. click on start and control panel, click add/remove programs and on the left side look for set program access and defaults, click that and click custom and look for choose default media player and click on windows media player and click ok and that is it done
