i want my vlc player to be the default for avi files. ive alrady went to default programs and tried to uncheck it , it wont let meI dont know how to change my windows media player form being the default for avi files!!!!!?
right click on the file ... select open with .... it will ask you to choose program ... choose the program you want to have play the file and check %26quot;Always use the selected .....%26quot;I dont know how to change my windows media player form being the default for avi files!!!!!?
just right click on any avi file
click properties
on the general tab click always open with and pick the program u want it to open with

Under Tools, go to Folder Options, File Types, then type AVI
then go to change and choose the vlc program.
If it is not in the list goto Browse and find the exe file that runs the vlc, should be vlc.exe then check the Always use the selected program.
