Well when you installed windows media 10/11 obviouisly you did not see the link saying do you want this as your default player, the thing is if the videos you areplaying from net only play wmp there is nothing you can do, whereas if you play a trailer from say imdb.com you have choice most times from real or wmp maybe it may help if you deinstalled 1 of the players, But if the videos will only play in windows media and you have it, thats what they will play in, end of.How can i set Windows Media Player as my default Video Player?

Open your media player - look for the `now playing` and under that there is a small `down arrow` click on it and open `more options`.
Click on `file types` then click on `select all` click `apply` and `okay`.
