i downloaded media player classic and dont know how to change the primary player back to windows media player.How do i make my windows media player be the default player for all media files?
Go to the TOOLS drop down menu, select the FILE TYPES tab and then click on the SELECT ALL button

right click the file u wanna play,then choose open with....scroll to the bottom of that list and select choose other...then a pop up box will *** up on the screen with a list of programs,....select windows media player and underneath there is a tick box that says make default...click ok and each time u play a media file it will auto start in that program..hope that helps lou xxHow do i make my windows media player be the default player for all media files?

all will/should work, but the best is to (assuming you have windows XP) go to control panel --%26gt; Add/Remove Programs
when the box comes up, there should be a 'Set Program Access And Defaults' button, bottom left
Click that, and then click the arrow next to 'Custom' Then scroll down, and select Windows Media Player as your default player.
Also, did you overwrite WMP 9/10/whatever you had before? if not, open that when doing the stuff above me
